Background
In recent years, artificial intelligence has spawned a new, digital form of sexualized violence against women. Today, pretty much everybody can produce convincing fakes with just a couple of mouse clicks. And access to these programs is virtually unrestricted.
Ninety-nine percent of the victims of such videos are women. Indeed, many of the AI programs that produce naked images can’t even process pictures of men. One app long advertised itself with the slogan: "Imagine wasting time taking her out on dates when you can just use” the website "to get her nudes.”
